The '''SBP''' command is used to update your copy of a buddy's detail.

== MSNP11 - MSNP12 ==
The official client (even older ones that doesn't support contact renaming) use this command when it ecounters a new friendly name for a buddy in [[Protocols/MSNP/Commands/NLN|NLN]] or [[Protocols/MSNP/Commands/ILN|ILN]]. It's not required to use this command, but if you don't use it, you'll be receiving the old the friendly name for the buddy when [[Protocols/MSNP/Commands/SYN|synchronizing]]. One can also use this command to rename buddies to arbitrary names.

SBP <TrID> <Contact's GUID> <Setting> <URL-Encoded Value>\r\n
<Setting> should be <i>MFN</i> for changing the contact's friendly name.

The server will echo the command back upon success.
