Have you ever tried to make a seemingly harmless screen name and found that it wasn't allowed? Here are several different reasons why this occurs:
- The first few letters may be a special prefix used my AOL employees or Community Leaders.
- Part of the name may be restricted because it could be designated for AOL employees.
- Part of name may contain words that violate AOL's terms of service.
- Part of the name may be restricted because it has words that could be used to impersonate AOL employees.
- Part of the name may be restricted because it contains characters that are similar to ones that are designated for AOL * employees.
- Part of the name may have characters that are similar to ones that violate AOL's terms of service.
