Permission Flags - EnableIP
If an application has the EnableIP flag enabled in the Activity directory, two additional properties are available in the User object: LocalIP and GlobalIP.
By accessing these properties, an application can ascertain the IP address of the local machine as it appears to the computer (LocalIP), or as it appears to the Messenger Switchboard (GlobalIP).
An application must be able to demonstrate a need for the ability to use the local IP address or the user's personal information to be considered a candidate for this permission flag.
This permission flag might be useful for collaboration software that coordinates other network activity between computers.
